Description
I’ve always been drawn to big cats but no more so than the often elusive Leopard. Imagine my delight when we came across a Leopard whilst on safari, who was intent on its prey. We followed the stalking from a safe distance so as not to interfere, all the while taking photos where we could. Unfortunately for this leopard, the hunt failed and it slunk off to a shady spot where it could study the open grasslands in relative comfort.
At one point, as we got closer, it turned around and appeared to look me in the eye. The intense gaze I experienced is what I’ve aimed to capture in this portrait. This Leopard was the inspiration and start of my monochrome collection of pastel based wildlife portraits and is now available here as a series of 150 Limited Edition prints. All come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity and display the print number, title and signature.
